A quick note

Just arrived in Moscow... took ages to find the metro station but finally got there and on to the 'Godzillas' hostel. (yes, Godzillas plural!)  I was in 3rd class on the night train and was basically sleeping in the corridor... not to bad though.  I think we are going to the Kremlin today and then the circus this evening.

Am really tired despite having the best night's sleep thus far, but am glad to be away from St.Petersburg... After all that went on and sharing a dorm room with a touchy Italian who was in St.Petersburg looking for a Russian bride, I'm happy to be gone.

On Saturday we get on the train for 4 days all the way to Irkutsk... our longest stop will be maybe 20 minutes at a station... good job I've got travel settlers... just a shame I've no one to play with!  It'll be 4 days of pot noodles I think... so I guess things arn' that bad!

OK I'm gonna go now, my head is still fuzzy from the train.

Keep well,

Matt

St.Petersburg

So St.Petersburg has been eventful! I will write more about it later when I have more time and can upload photos.  Tonight I'm off to Moscow, sleeper train alone, it should be cool.  Last night we went to the ballet, swan lake, it was pretty decent as far as ballets go.  I need more practice at this blogging thing because this is pretty sterile at the moment.  The city is pretty beautful... like if Amsterdam and paris had a baby and left it in the refiridgerator. I think I've had enough time here really... but there is talk of going to the circus in Moscow so that should be pretty cool.

But yeah, I'm in a rush now sorry... 2240 tonight I leave and I want to get a bit of the city in before that so off I go with 2 jumpers, underarmour and a real russian man's hat over my ears and tied below my chin like a school boy with an over protective mother.  My music of choice for this city is Pulp, Art Brut, and Foals... but that really tells you nothing about the city!

I hope you are all well... but I haven't been away long enough to be homesick yet! ;)

Love to all,

Matt
